Fire Chief - Roger Swint Chief Swint was born and raised in Jonesboro, just 4 miles south of the City of Morrow. He began serving as a volunteer firefighter with the City of Jonesboro in 1980 when he graduated from Jonesboro High School. He became an EMT in 1983 and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in 1987. While at Jonesboro he achieved the rank of Lieutenant and then Captain. He continued his service as a volunteer and part time firefighter until 2005 when Jonesboro dissolved their fire department.

In 2004 he began his career with the City of Morrow where he was hired as a firefighter. In 2008 he was promoted to Captain which later became known as Battalion Chief. That same year he received his associates degree in fire science from West Georgia Technical College. In November 2016, he was appointed as Fire Chief. Prior to becoming fire chief, he and his family operated a successful retail business in Jonesboro. Since becoming chief he has turned the business over to his wife, Kathy and their two sons. In addition to their two sons they also have a daughter who lives in Chattanooga. He and Kathy reside in Jonesboro.

Deputy Chief of Operations - Jeff Moss Chief Moss began his fire service career in 1989 with Cobb County. He promoted through the ranks to Captain in the extinguishment division. Chief Moss joined Morrow Fire Department in 2012 as Training Captain where he did an outstanding job. He was promoted to Deputy Chief of Operations in August of 2018. He is a paramedic, Georgia Smoke Diver, Georgia Public Safety Training Center adjunct instructor, and Georgia State EMS instructor. He serves as chairman of the Pre Hospital Committee for the Georgia State Office of EMS and Trauma. He has earned an Associate's Degree in Fire Management, Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management Leadership, and Master's Degree in Public Administration.

Chief Moss' father retired from the fire service as a Captain and his brother currently serves with the City of Atlanta Fire Department. Chief Moss lives in Dunwoody with his wife Laura and their three children. Matthew is 15, Bradley is 12, and Kaitlyn is 10. He volunteers as a scout leader and baseball coach in his local community.

Division Chief/Fire Marshal - Donny Harry Division Chief Donald Harry began his fire service career growing up in East Point, Ga., but at the time he didn't realize that's what was happening. His father, Alvin L.R. Harry, was a member of the City of East Point Fire Department, and "Donny" as he is known, spent a lot of time at the firehouse with his dad. After graduating from Russell High School in 1975, he still didn't realize his future, so he began working for a kitchen equipment manufacturing company. Five years later, shortly after Donny had been through a divorce, his father called him and said, "Hey, you know Morrow is hiring firefighters"? Donny's response was laughingly, "Where's Morrow"? So, Donny applied for the job, and low and behold he was hired. That was on July 11, 1980

Chief Harry recalls his first live fire training and remembers how after his first fire attack, he was hooked; he had discovered his true passion, and his true calling. Over the next five years, he obtained his EMT license, and attended numerous training classes and live fire exercises. In 1985, he made a tough decision; he left his full time position with Morrow and began working for Fulton County Fire Department, but he never truly left, he worked part time at Morrow Fire as the training officer.

In 1988, Chief Harry obtained his Paramedic license, and was hired back full time with Morrow and continued to work full time at both departments. In April of 1994, he was promoted to the rank of Captain which was later changed to Battalion Chief. He also moved up the ranks in Fulton County, promoting to Lieutenant then Captain. He retired from Fulton County in April of 2016 after over thirty years of service.

After Division Chief Carl DeMarco announced his retirement in July 2018, Battalion Chief Harry, (at the time) was offered the position of Fire Marshal. He accepted the offer and made a lateral transfer. On July 24, 2018, Chief Harry was sworn in by Mayor Detar as the next Fire Marshal for the City of Morrow Fire Department.

Division Chief Harry attributes his passion for the fire service to his dad; he says his dad always had good advice for him in all aspects of life and his mother taught him how to be a gentleman. Chief Harry is married to Nancy, who coincidently was the fire chief's secretary at Morrow when they met. They have been happily married for over 15 years and reside in Coweta County. They have a combined total of five children.
