The topics that were discussed during the Work Session included the following:

 

 

  1. Fire Chief – Medical Director

 

  1. Olde Morrow (Update).
    1. Jodeco Road House - Built in 1870 (Ernest Duffey).

Ernest Duffey made a presentation to the City Council about a historic home on Jodeco Road that is set for demolition in 90 days. The structure was built in 1870 and has over 5,000 sq. ft. The structure is being donated and the City only has to pay the moving costs. The structure is in great condition and pictures were provided of the historical value and current appearance. A motion was made by Councilman Huie to finance and relocate the structure to the Olde Morrow District. The motion was seconded by Councilman Slaton. Mayor Millirons called for a vote and it passed unanimously.

 

  1. Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance – Draft.

 

  1. BC Investments – Proposal.
    1. The City Manager recommended entering into an exclusive listing agreement BC Investments & Realty to lease the dark Southlake Mall space based on their successful building and leasing experience in South Fulton. A presentation was made to the City Council by Rahim Charania, the President of BC Investment & Realty. After discussion, Councilman Sorrow made a motion to enter into the listing agreement and it was seconded by Councilman Slaton. Mayor Millirons called for the vote and it passed unanimously.
