The topics that were discussed during the Work Session included the following:

 

 

  1. Smoking in Public places (Draft Ordinance).

 

  1. Olde Morrow – John B. Gordon House. City Manager John Lampl informed the Council of a structure that was built in the 1850’s and is possibly one of the oldest farm houses in Georgia. It was owned by a former Georgia Governor and U.S. Senator and needs to be moved. He stated that the City’s Olde Morrow District would be perfect location for the structure and asked the Council for the authorization to accept the structure as a donation and move it to Morrow. Councilman Sorrow was conducting the meeting and called for a motion. Councilman Slaton made a motion to authorize the City to accept the structure and pay to move it to Morrow. Councilman LaPorte seconded the motion. Councilman Sorrow called for the vote and it passed unanimously.

  1. Second Fire Station (Lease Agreement Pending Modifications).

 

  1. Roswell Ordinance Discussion –Limiting Unrelated Persons Dwelling in a Single Family Dwelling (Pending).

 

  1. Adult Oriented Businesses (Ordinance Pending Attorney Revisions).

 

  1. Meadowbrook Property (Executed Contract with a Pending August 4th, 2006 Closing Date).

 

  1. 6066 Navaho Tr. Property (Property For Sale).

 

  1. Pathway System (Right of Way - Pending).

 

  1. Pond LCI Redesign (Finished- GDOT Reviewing).
