COUNCIL WORK SESSION

July 13, 2004

Mayor Millirons excused absence.

 

Mayor Pro Tem LaPorte called the Work Session to order at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting took place in the Boardroom of the Morrow Municipal Complex, 1500 Morrow Road, Morrow, GA.

 

Mayor Pro Tem LaPorte recessed the Work Session at 7:30 p.m. for the regular council meeting.  The Work Session resumed after the completion of the regular council meeting.

 

The topics that were discussed during the Work Session included the following:

 

1.      2004 Tax Digest (Tailored Business Systems).

2.      Adamson Parkway (Town Home rezoning application).

3.      Gateway Conference Center (Concept drawings).

4.      Economic Development (Grant Wainscott – Power Point Presentation @ 8PM).

5.      GDOT passenger Rail meeting (Wednesday, July 14th, 10:30 AM,@ East Lake Golf Club)

6.      P&Z/City Council Quarterly Meeting (Thursday, July 15th, 6:30 PM).

7.      RFQ for TE grant on Pedestrian Trails (Due by the end of Friday, July 16th).

8.      Jeff Eady (Certified Public Works Director- July 16th @ St. Simon).

9.      John (Vacation July 17-25).

10.  Keep Clayton County Beautiful (Thurs., Aug. 19th, @ Morrow Tourist Center) RSVP.

11.  Annexation (Burbank and Carla Drive- Survey and timelines pending).

12.  Annexation (Lake Harbin property – DOJ Approved – Finished).

13.  Skylark Drive Property (Closing pending survey).

14.  John Robert Access Road (Design Finished-pending).

15.  Maxie Price (Legal Settlement Signed).

16.  Tender Age Learning Center (Property Demolished).

17.  Southlake Riverfront District (Pending).

18.  C-Tran Intergovernmental Agreement (Pending).

19.  Personnel Issues (Capt. Acree Retirement and Wainscott compensation Pkg).
