COUNCIL WORK SESSION

Mayor Millirons called the Work Session to order at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting took place in the Boardroom of the Morrow Municipal Complex, 1500 Morrow Road, Morrow, GA. Mayor Millirons recessed the Work Session at 7:30 p.m. for the regular council meeting.  The Work Session resumed after the completion of the regular council meeting.

 

 

The topics that were discussed during the Work Session included the following:

 

 

  1. Grant Wainscott (Forts, Museum, MDDA etc.).

 

  1. Rail Issues (GDOT Board delays decision).

 

  1. CPA Class (August 25th to November 17th).

 

  1. Clayton Summit (August 26th, 2005 from 8 AM till 1:30 PM )

 

  1. Morrow Lodge Public Safety Appreciation Dinner (August 27th, @ 5 PM).

 

  1. Congressman Scott (Airport Noise Abatement funds – August 29th, @ 3 PM).

 

  1. Intergovernmental Agreement (City of Morrow DDA).

 

  1. Qualifying (September 12th, 13th, and 14th).

 

  1. Annexation (1241 Mt. Zion, Public Hearing on September 13, 2005)

 

  1. Annexation (Lake Harbin Homes, Public Hearing on October 11, 2005).

 

  1. Red Light Camera System (Analysis of Interchanges Pending).

 

  1. LCI Property on Jonesboro Road (Closing August 24th).

 

  1. RS-80 Zoning Modifications?

 

  1. JR Development.
