Regular Council Meeting

Mayor Jim Millirons called the regular meeting of the Morrow City Council to order at 7:30 p.m.  The meeting took place in the Council Chambers of the Morrow Municipal Complex, 1500 Morrow Road, Morrow, GA, 30260.  Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.  Councilman Sorrow gave the invocation.

 

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:             Work Session                - February 28, 2006      

                                                            Regular Meeting            - February 28, 2006

 

                                    Councilman Sorrow made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Councilman LaPorte. The motion passed unanimously.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

  1. First Reading of Ordinance 2006-03 An Ordinance to amend the City Code of Ordinances, concerning Title 4 Public Safety: Chapter 1. Law Enforcement, Section 4-1-6. Traffic Signal Violation Detection System. 

 

 

  1. Due to no Agenda items, the March 21, 2006, Planning and Zoning Board meeting was canceled.

 

 

 

COMMENTS:

 

Citizens- A citizen expressed concern about residential property maintenance issues concerning a burned home. City Manager John Lampl assured the citizen that the City is aware of the problem and further explained that insurance companies can typically take up to year to resolve such issues.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mayor Millirons adjourned the meeting at 7:40 pm.
