Mayor Jim Millirons called the regular meeting of the Morrow City Council to order at 7:30 p.m.  The meeting took place in the Council Chambers of the Morrow Municipal Complex, 1500 Morrow Road, Morrow, GA, 30260.  Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.  Councilman Sorrow gave the invocation.

NEW BUSINESS:      

Item 1:            Swearing in Ceremony by the Honorable Frost Ward

            Planning and Zoning Board Member                   Tamara W. Patridge

      Honorable Frost Ward swore in Mayor Jim Millirons, Councilman Charles Sorrow and Councilman Mason Barfield. He then swore in the Planning and Zoning Member Tamara Patridge.

Item 2:                        Annual Appointments for 2008

Councilman Huie made a motion to approve the appointments, seconded by Councilman Slaton. The motion passed unanimously.

      Municipal Court Judge                                             Honorable Frost Ward

      City Attorney                                                          Laurel Henderson

      Municipal Court Solicitor                                          Jerry Patrick

Councilman Sorrow made a motion to approve the appointments, seconded by Councilman Slaton. The motion passed unanimously.

      Atlanta Airport Coordinating Committee                 Councilman Charles Sorrow

      Board of Directors, Reynolds Nature Preserve        Councilman Bob Huie

Councilman Sorrow made a motion to approve the appointments, seconded by Councilman Barfield. The motion passed unanimously.

Item 3: Appointments to the Downtown Development Authority 2008 - 2011

                                                Terms Expired 2007

                                                Myron Maxey

                                                Thomas Scroggs

                                                Terry L. Mobley

                                                Dewey L. (Buck) Shirley

Councilman Sorrow made a motion to approve the appointments, seconded by Councilman Barfield. The motion passed unanimously.

Mayor Jim Millirons adjourned the meeting at 7:45 pm.
