Mayor Pro Tem Huie called the regular meeting of the Morrow City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. The meeting took place in the Council Chambers of the Morrow Municipal Complex, 1500 Morrow Road, Morrow, GA, 30260. Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Councilman Sorrow gave the invocation.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Work Session – November 28, 2006

Regular Meeting – November 28, 2006

Councilman Sorrow made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Councilman LaPorte. The motion passed unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS:

Second reading of ORDINANCE 2006-13: An Ordinance entitled an Ordinance to amend the City Code of Ordinances, concerning Title 8, Planning and Development; Chapter 2, Building Regulation and Code Enforcement; Article D, Unfit Buildings and Structures; Section 8-2-106: Urban Redevelopment Plan.

Councilman Slaton made a motion to approve Ordinance 2006-13, seconded by Councilman Sorrow. The motion passed unanimously.

Councilman Slaton made a motion to approve the listed property as surplus property, seconded by Councilman Sorrow. The motion passed unanimously.

Due to no Agenda items, the December 19, 2006, Planning and Zoning Board meeting was canceled.

3. The December 26, 2006 Council Meeting was canceled.

COMMENTS:

City Manager- City Manager John Lampl announced after 29 years of dedicated service, Captain Mike Neal of the Fire Department will be retiring. Mr. Lampl thanked Captain Neal for his faithful service and stated that an event celebrating his retirement would be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on December 29, 2006 at the Tourist Center.

Mayor Pro Tem Huie adjourned the meeting at 7:35 pm.
