Mayor Pro Tem Slaton called the regular meeting of the Morrow City Council to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Millirons was excused for shoulder surgery. The meeting took place in the Council Chambers of the Morrow Municipal Complex, 1500 Morrow Road, Morrow, GA 30260. Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Councilman Sorrow gave the invocation.

Councilman Huie made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Councilman LaPorte. The motion passed unanimously.
PRESENTATION: The Allan Vigil appreciation award was rescheduled for the August 23, 2005 Council meeting.
OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:
Item 1: The Council reviewed a contract from Jordan Jones & Goulding for the design and construction of 1420 Southlake Parkway.
Councilman Sorrow made a motion to sign the contract, seconded by Councilman LaPorte. The motion passed unanimously.
Item 2: Mayor Pro Tem Slaton notified the audience that the Planning and Zoning meeting scheduled for August 16, 2005, was cancelled, due to no agenda items.
COMMENTS:
Mayor Pro Tem Slaton: Commended both the Fire and Police Departments for their response and prompt service.
Mayor Pro Tem Slaton adjourned the meeting at 7:36 pm.
