Leroy York Honored by the Morrow City Council

Mr. Leroy York, longtime member of the Morrow community, was honored at the regular Council Meeting on January 22, 2008. Mr. York selflessly served his country in the Korean War almost 60 years ago and considers this service among his life’s greatest achievements. During his tour of duty Mr. York earned many medals, including the Bronze Star, which is awarded for bravery, acts of merit, or meritorious service. On December 20, 2007, 57 years after they were earned, General Steve Whitcomb of the United States Army presented Mr. Leroy York with his collection of medals. The City of Morrow is honored to join the US Army in recognizing Mr. York’s valor and service, and we are proud to call him neighbor and business partner.
