Morrow Hires 3 New Firefighters

The City of Morrow welcomes new hires: Firefighter/Paramedic James Rutmann from Dayton Ohio, Firefighter /Paramedic Thomas Kuglin from Memphis Tennessee, and Firefighter /Paramedic Anthony Jones from Atlanta to the fire department.

Morrow Hires 2 New Firefighters

The City of Morrow welcomes new hires: Firefighter/Paramedic Tara Walker and Firefighter / EMT Alex Williams to the fire department. Ms Walker previously worked for the Fire Department, and Alex has been working as a part-time firefighter for the past year. Both firefighters started full-time the week of June 21, 2010.

Firefighter Sammy Johnson retires

The City of Morrow held Firefighter Sammy Johnson’s retirement party at the new Morrow Center January 29, 2010. Congratulations to Firefighter Sammy Johnson for his 32 years of service with the Fire Department. He will be missed. Good luck Sammy!

New Lieutenant Promotion

Patrick Kelly was promoted to Fire Lieutenant on C shift March 14, 2008. Pat is a Paramedic Firefighter III, Active Army Reserve Sergeant, and is working towards a Bachelor degree in Business Management.

Morrow Fire adds a New Ambulance

The Fire Department added a new 2007 Ford Ambulance built by Wheeled Coach Manufacturer. This addition gives the department a total of 3. This new Ambulance is front line and will run out of Station 1. The new chevron design on the rear of the Ambulance is 100 percent reflective and is to enhance visibility while operating on the roadways.

Fire Station 2 Official Grand Opening
Saturday June 9, 2007 was 97 degrees F, and at least 75 people attended the Official dedication of Fire Station No.2 located at 1705 Mt. Zion Road. Click here to read about the event and see all of the pictures.
