Saturday June 9, 2007 was 97 degrees F, and at least 75 people attended the Official dedication of Fire Station No.2. Mayor Jim Millirons, City Manager John Lampl, and Chief Mark Herendeen preformed the ceremony and dedication. Also in attendance were Councilman Bob Huie, Charles Sorrow, Virlyn Slaton, Judge Frost Ward, Clayton County Commissioner Micheal Edmondson, and Senator Gail Davenport. The event was a huge success and congratulations to everyone who had a part in making it a reality. Below are several picture of the event.
