The City of Morrow Fire Department strives to minimize the loss of life and property by providing effective and efficient fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention and public education services to our community. Our mission is accomplished, largely, by employing and supporting  personnel who are dedicated to providing a  high degree of professionalism, training, operational readiness, and public education services to our community.  City officials are committed to providing the most modern and state-of-the-art equipment in support of the overall mission of the department.

The City of Morrow Fire Department prides itself for its new ISO Class 3 rating. The men and women are proud of the achievements accomplished to obtain the ISO Class 3 rating. The staff will remain committed to maintain the ISO Class 3 rating which every homeowners and businesses will benefit from.

The City of Morrow Fire Department provides a variety of functions for the residents of Morrow, including emergency fire operations, emergency medical services, fire prevention and fire safety education. The department also has a contract with The City of Lake City, a neighbor to the north, to provide fire and EMS services. The City of Lake City is also an ISO Class 3 rating.

The department employees 31 staff members, who operate a 10 person shift with an 8 person minimum. They work a traditional 24 hours on and 48 hours off. The Fire Chief and Fire Marshall work Monday through Friday. The department staffs 2 advanced life support (ALS) ambulances, 2 engines, a 105’ ladder truck, and a command vehicle. The department also has, a Chief car, a Fire Marshal car, a chase car, a one ton pick up truck, a hazardous material decontamination trailer, a mass casualty trailer, and a fire safety house trailer.

Headquarters, located at 1500 Morrow Road behind the City’s Municipal complex, houses 1 ALS ambulance, 1 engine, the shift commander, the ladder truck, and administration offices. Station 2, located at 1705 Mt. Zion Road, houses 1 ALS ambulance and 1 engine.

Representatives of the department travel throughout the City of Morrow and Lake City, teaching children and adults about fire safety. Local elementary schools have recently adopted a curriculum called "Learn Not To Burn" which teaches fire safety to first-, second-, and third-graders. Members of the Morrow Fire Department teach the school system's teachers how to use the curriculum.
