The Criminal Investigations Division is composed of four full time detectives. The foremost responsibility of the members of this Division is to perform follow up investigations on assigned cases utilizing the resources available at the local, state, and federal levels.

The logistical unit falls under the Criminal Investigation Division and is staffed by a Lieutenant as well as a civilian evidence technician. The logistical unit oversees evidence, quartermaster, armory, vehicle maintenance, and physical plant maintenance. This unit ensures that the entire police department has all the needed equipment for duty as well as the arduous task of inventory and control of the evidence function of police work.

Captain Callaway is the division commander for the Criminal Investigations Division. Captain Callaway holds a Bachelor’s Degree and an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a P.O.S.T. certified instructor and nationally certified D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T. instructor. He holds the P.O.S.T. intermediate and advanced certifications. Callaway is a graduate of Mercer University’s Public Safety Leadership Institute. Captain Callaway has over 16 years of law enforcement experience. Callaway is a State Certification Manager as well as an assessor. He specializes in intellectual property crimes and asset forfeiture and has served the National White Collar Crime Center as a subject matter expert. He was also recognized by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for his training and work on counterfeit pharmaceuticals. He has taught local, State, and Federal officers in Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri, Louisiana, and Puerto Rico. He is also active with the Georgia Gang Investigators Association and is a member of both the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

Detective Sergeant Oglesby began his law enforcement career in 2002 in Texas with the Arlington Police Department. After relocating to Georgia, he joined the Morrow Police Department in 2005 where he has served as Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer and Sergeant with the Uniform Patrol Division before becoming a member of the Criminal Investigations Division in September 2010.

Sergeant Oglesby holds a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Mount Allison University in Canada. In addition to his P.O.S.T., Field Training, Supervision Level 1 certifications, Sergeant Oglesby has received several commendations throughout his career in law enforcement.

Detective Wages has over eight years of law enforcement experience. He has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University. He has an Intermediate POST Certification, is a Senior Instructor and holds advanced trainer certifications as a Firearms, Defensive Tactics, and Taser Instructor. Detective Wages previous law enforcement assignments have included the Uniform Patrol Division, Tac-Squad/ Crime Suppression Unit, Special Operations Division, Narcotics, SWAT, and Training Division.

Detective Wages has taught firearms and tactics for over 10 years. This training has been for citizens, police officers, military personnel, and private security contractors. Detective Wages has trained for various local police departments to include the Clayton Regional Law Enforcement Academy and the Georgia SWAT Associations annual conference. He has also taught for the US ARMY at Ft. Benning Georgia and the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

Detective Wages started with the Morrow Police Department in July of 2007 as a Reserve Officer assisting the Uniform Patrol Division and Training Division. In September 2009 he became a full time officer assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division and is the lead firearms instructor for the department. In January 2011 after successfully completing the review process he was selected for the position of detective with the Morrow Police Department Criminal Investigations Division.
